Higher education needs receipts.

Higher education still matters deeply, but institutions must be able to show the value of what we offer through student learning, clear pathways, outcomes, and accountability.

Featured keynote   /   Leadership

Leading change
when trust is
on the line.

The staff meeting is over. Someone who barely said a word stops you in the hallway. That’s often where you learn what the decision really means to your team.

For leadership retreats, association meetings, and campus conferences.

What your audience can practice
  1. Explain the call.

Tell people what informed the decision and what you still need to learn.

  2. Make space for dissent.

Invite the question people are saving for the hallway.

  3. Close the loop.

Show your team where their feedback changed the plan and explain where it couldn’t.

What the numbers leave out

For teams making decisions with imperfect evidence. Use a campus case to identify whose experience is missing from a report and what to ask before acting.

02  /  Women in technology

Who gets to be the expert?

For technical teams and the women leading them. Practice speaking up when you spot a problem and recognizing expertise that gets overlooked in the room.

03  /  AI in education

What should students do for themselves?

For faculty deciding where AI belongs in a course. Take an assignment, name the skill it builds, and draw a boundary you can explain to students.

Teaching with Intentionality

Dr. Jamie Jamison’s framework centers on Intentional Planning, Intentional Engagement, and Intentional Impact. Faculty choose one practice in their own teaching and decide what to start, stop, or continue.

02  /  Meet Jamie

A provost’s perspective.
A teacher’s instinct.

Dr. Jamie Jamison serves as Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs at Morris Brown College. After more than two decades in information technology and over a decade in higher education, she understands how a decision made in one office can change a student’s experience across campus.

Her work asks leaders to look closely at evidence, listen to faculty and students, and decide where resources will make a difference. On stage, she brings humor and candor to the same questions she faces as a provost, including how to hold a high standard while earning people’s trust.
